What is diatom mud fabric?

  • Diatom mud absorbent mat is made of diatomaceous earth as raw material. Diatomaceous earth is a natural mineral.
  • Its main component is silicic acid. It has a special microporous structure.
  • When the indoor humidity rises, the ultra-fine pores can automatically absorb moisture in the air, so the water absorption capacity of the floor mat is relatively strong.
















How do you maintain a diatomite mat?

  1. Wash with running water or wipe with a wet cloth to remove any powdered residue before usage.
  2. Do not soak the mat in water.
  3. Rinse the surface with running water or wipe with a wet cloth every 2 weeks.
  4. Place mat in a well-ventilated place to air dry, away from direct sunlight.
  5.  Diatom mud mats should not be placed in the sun, nor can they be placed in front of heating devices, otherwise they are prone to deformation.
